Do you wear or prefer your Significant other to wear make-up?

I love my makeup and will not leave the house without it on!

I know my man thinks I'm pretty either way, but I won't leave the house without a little makeup on. I just feel more put together and confident with it, I guess.

I have light wear make up to hide blemishes on day to day basis.

When I go out, I go all the way with funky fake eyelashes and fun eye shadow and eye liner. My eyes are my best feature (then my nose) so I like to highlight them with lots of make up on special occasions.

Other wise, I keep it as simple as possible

I think my significant other likes me either way, but we both like to look and like each other to look groomed. I only wear a little to improve my natural appearance.

Do I like it when He wears makeup? :3 Actually, yes. Not a whole mask, that doesn't look quite right on him. But he uses a little concealer every few days. He became very fond of the stuff after a special event that involved a lot of photography.

I know a few cosplaying guys who became used to makeup. I don't think it's a big deal. Guys want to look good, too. I don't really look at things like, "This is for boys and that is for girls".

I wear makeup whenever I leave the house. I do not put a lot on and I only use powder, light makeup. I like the natural look.

I always wear makeup if I leave the house. Not tons of it, just basic coverup and mascara. Lately though, I've been trying to just not wear it at all and let my skin breathe more.

I like it when my female partners wear make up on occasion, but i don't really care. I also don't care if my male partners wanted too. Sure, it'd be odd at first but oh well.

I HATE make-up. I think most women are at their sexiest when they wake up in the morning and when they get out of the shower. We are who we are and our skin is meant to breathe. Stop suffocating your skin and let the world see your natural beauty.

I don't wear make-up. I don't like my skin being coated in any unnecessary stuff that could be clogging my pores. The more my skin can breath, the better it will look for longer.

I wear makeup when I feel like it. Generally if I'm only going to the grocery store or something I don't bother but if the boyfriend and I are going out together or I just want to feel good about myself, I wear it.

I basically never wear makeup in my everyday life, I'm much too lazy. I only really use it as part of a costume. I don't particularly dislike makeup, it can be super fun (especially weird eye makeup!), but it bothers me when people need makeup to feel good about themselves.

I only wear makeup when I want to. And you know what, I'm going to get on my soapbox (there's prescriptivism in this thread that I have some contention with: ) I don't wear it for anyone. I wear it because I want to. I want to sometimes look like a hot vixen not for you, not for the girl in the next room, but for me. I want to look like the hottest bottom butch dyke in the world for me, for my sake. And I'm damn well aware I look pretty damn fabulous natural too. That's me being comfortable with me.

As for others, you know what? Wear it if you want, don't wear if you don't want to. Wear it because it makes your partner happy, wear it because it makes you happy to make your partner all hot and bothered. Wear it for your reasons, your satisfaction, your personal opinions, or don't for the exact same things (whatever reasons you come up with.) Just don't force that opinion on anyone else.

Stepping off now. Sorry, some opinions got to me and I wanted to voice counter opinions. Tl;dr: I wear makeup for myself and step off of people and their reasons for wearing/not wearing makeup.

I prefer to wear makeup, but I prefer butch girls and would rather that my girlfriend not wear makeup...except for my lipstick smudges, of course!

I picked only on special occasions. It's very very rare...less than once a year for sure.

I enjoy wearing makeup. I am not someone who won't go out of the house without it though. It depends on where I'm going and what I'm going to be doing. If I'm going to work or out, I'll wear it, but if I'm just running around doing errands or something I don't waste my time. And my man could not care less whether I wear it or not.

I use minimal make up in my day to day life, but I like to (over) indulge on the rare occasions that I go out. In fact, when we go out, the more I look like a whore the more my husband likes it. With in reason, of course. But it's a classic example of Madonna/Whore.

I love makeup the art and expression of it is fun. I usually wear makeup but am ok leaving the house without. Bf doesn't mind either way he thinks I am beautiful regardless however he does like seeing what I come up with I am by no means subtle with eyeshadow colors and don't mind going crazy in a fun way with liner

I tried makeup on and off for about a year, but never really got into it. It made me feel very untouchable and I worried that wearing it habitually would irritate my naturally soft skin. I'm ok with my daily lip balm.

I only wear makeup if I'm going somewhere special. And even then I don't put on much.

i wear make up no matter what the occasion (except for the gym). and i put a lot on too. my partner doesn't wear make up

I don't wear make up, but my girl does. I like that she does, because it's as if she makes an effort for me. Okay, I know it's not actually for me, but I like to think of it this way.

I usually just stick to foundation and lipstick.

I always wear at least mascara. I often have some kind of bright colored eye shadow on too. I love my bold purple and turqoise! I also am a huge fan of sparkles. I will wear a dab of powder foundation to even things out and mostly to cover the greasyness my moisturizer leaves. Other than the bold eyes, I hardly wear a lot of thick foundation and such. Sometimes eyeliner. My partner tells me I'm beautiful without my makeup but I just don't think I am. It's so wonderfully nice to hear him say it every time he sees me wear it, but I don't feel pretty without it. I used to swear he was lying, but he really seems to think I'm "more beautiful" without the dressed up thing going on. He says he loves seeing me in my big t-shirt and no makeup, no straightened hair. I think I look horrific, but there's nothing in the world like hearing him say he thinks I'm beautiful only wearing me.
