I remember as a kid having left over pizza for breakfast and then mcdonalds for lunch and then taco bell or kfc for diner on a number of occasions. It didn't happen EVERYDAY, but it happened frequently enough for it to leave a lasting memory. We would get to a point where we couldn't decide what to go get because we had had everything so recently. I remember wishing there were MORE fast food restaurants so that we had a bigger selection lol.
That's not to say my parents never cooked, they did and when they did it was darn delicious, but sometimes you get busy. It's a lot of work cooking for 10 plus people every day, 3 times a day, on top everything else you have to do in the day. Sometimes it's easier to just grab a pizza or two. I guess we just got into a bad habit. I always wonder how the heck they paid for it all.
Now that I'm living with the boyfriend we still eat out quite often, but we've been cutting back considerably the past few months. It's went from about once or twice a day to once a week, which is pretty darn good. Not that our home cooking is always super healthy, but it's a start.
