Mine was around $7,000. Both our parents and his grandparents helped with the expense.

$700 in 2000 - most of it was for the DJ. We paid for the wedding ourselves. It was cheap and looked it. Less than 20 people showed up because we warned it was a dry wedding.

Yeah, yeah - I knew who my real friends were, but I don't ever want to go that route again. It was just a sadness that I couldn't enjoy it myself.

Although I don't regret the expense now. We're divorced.

Civil Ceremony, less than $100 we were both students. My family was/is low income and her relatives were out way too far away to attend. I'm sure she wanted a lavish wedding but it just wasn't in the cards. I've learned that when it get's right down to it, I can only rely on me. She died last June, I've plenty of regrets.

All together about $500. We went to New Orleans and got married at a little chaple in the French Quarter then stayed the rest of the weekend there. It was really small. I made our cake so that saved us a lot of money. Our family took pictures for us with our cameras. And another thing that helped is that I got my dress for $20 from the Salvation Army. It was beautiful and I couldn't pass it up for only $20 bucks. It cost more to get it altered than I paid for it, lol. Entertainment was easily solved... Bourbon Street! LOL!

Ours was about $100. We just had a clerk's office wedding before he had to leave for his military base. But we'll have a renewal of vows in the future and have an actual ceremony to invite our friends and family.

Probably around $120 for the fees to get our license, etc. at the court house. We're thinking of doing an actual wedding for our 10 year anniversary back where we originally got hitched

From the invites to the dress to the 'hall' (fellowship hall of the Methodist church we were married in) to the food came to about $3500 for everything.

The self-filed divorce is about $500.

I don't regret the size/price of the wedding- I'm just not a big wedding kind of girl. If I ever do it again, it will probably be smaller than the first time!

I think ours wound up being around $2,000. We had a really small ceremony. Even then, I knew better than to blow a bunch of money and start a marriage off going into debt for the wedding. I think it's much better to invest that money and effort into the marriage instead of trying to make a big show for everyone.

The only thing I wish I'd done differently is hired a photographer. My sister-in-law took the pictures, and she is a decent one, but her lens on her camera was wonky so a lot of our photos are blurry. She didn't know about the problem with the lens until after the wedding when the pictures were developed.

You can have a good wedding for $5k or under, but do plan on spending in the 3-figures unless you have many friends who will contribute (and do make it a point of accepting gifts for the wedding that are either done before or only take up a part of the wedding, because you want your friends to have fun too).

Mine cost close to $500. It was a small wedding in a restaurant. One of the guests had just handed us $500 cash and the restaurant manager told us that our credit card didn't clear. I distinctly remember handing him the money we just received. On the day we were married, we started with $0 in our checking account, no savings and at our limit with our credit card.

We spent around $8,000.00 on ours and that was 17 years ago. We had around 300 people there and yeah an open bar. And at the end of the evening the only one to get pulled over by the police was my mother...the one person in the whole place that didn't drink a drop lol (she had a busted tail light).

Weddings are really stressful. Ours was a lot of fun and we have a wonderful marriage but if I did it over again I'd have taken the 5 thousand bucks my father offered us if we eloped. Would have been so much easier!

Ours cost about $1500. It was just a small thing with about sixty people, just family and our closest friends. My family had most of our bases covered so all we had to pay for was apparel and the reception space/food.

We had a long distance wedding and helped a lot of people with travel costs. Over 20 years ago I'm guessing the cost was about $10k - about $30 in today's dollars. My in laws could not afford it all - so I pitched in quite a bit.

Ours was under $1000. That included everything - dress, hair, wedding, license, and honeymoon - you name it. I don't know what it would cost today.

7000. In 2004

We saved a bundle cause the gal who wrote up the venue contract screwed up and wrote down weekend morning instead of evening. Something like that. The little error saved almost 1000 lol

Around $13,000 in 2008. We did not go in debt, my parents paid for everything. We were very lucky in that aspect. We had a wonderful wedding with 300 people there. Nothing too extraordinary but it was very nice and we only splurged on the cake and my wedding dress. We had BBQ, beer, wine and margaritas. Everything was perfect and I don't regret spending the money my parents gave us to have a beautiful ceremony. It was honestly the best day of my life!!! This I felt, was a day that I wanted to remember the rest of my life and I wanted it to be perfect. BTW this wasn't a big show for everyone, it was for us and the ones we care about. We are even more madly in love with each other now and we've been very happily married for 3 years now!

We're getting married this June in Vegas and we have a budget of about $3,000.00 so far, we're doing really good. Only a few more small things to arrange and will likely come in under budget (no we're not getting married in a tacky place LOL)

A little less than $1000 nearly two years ago. My dress was the most expensive at around $300. We got married in the Provincial Court, and had a small barbecue reception in our backyard with 27 people. No one from his family attended.

Blood tests? Is that required where you live?
