I quit my second job ever, when I was 20. I was pregnant with my daughter and did not want to risk a bar fight, cigarette smoke or other danger to her and my pregnancy. She is so worth the loss of that job, as a matter of fact, I will never bartend again if I can help it.

I've quit and been RIF'd. I quit a job when I have a better opportunity. When RIF'd (reduction in force) it's important to move on quickly. I was RIF'd in '89 and quickly started my own business which lasted 7 years - when I fired myself and went to work for another company!

I had to quit the only job I ever had, aside from babysitting. I had just had a miscarriage and was fairly depressed, the last thing I needed to do was be around a large pizza oven. I ended up moving shortly after quitting, anyhow. I would have had to quit because of moving.

I left a job once because of unsafe working conditions and have left a few others because I found better opportunities elsewhere.

Yes, I was miserable. The people I worked with were liars and backstabbers and I just could not deal with an environment like that.

I quit my job to work full time at school.

Yes, I have quit every job so far but one. And I lost that one because they ran out of work. I have never been fired.
