I personally use online banking and that's it. I don't spend much and when i do it's normally big bills or gas so I know what comes out.

I use a bank ledger book and I make sure it matches my online bank account and also my Quicken program. I just have a thing about watching every penny.

Everything is online nowadays...so online banking. I also try to use credit cards rather than cash so I can keep track of my purchases better too.

A heavy mixture of online banking, my check register (though I rarely write checks, so I use it for all of our debit card transactions), and by keeping ALL of our receipts. You can never be too careful nowadays.

There's an app for that, lol. Seriously though, I use a checkbook app my friend showed me to keep it balanced and keep track of what I have spending wise. I still check my statement on line regularly though just to monitor and make sure no one stole my info.

I think I might be the only person I know (who is not Chinese and even they are getting accounts) who does not have a bank account in my own name. I've accounts with my accountants and people in Canada and the States, but not my name. I don't need to keep track of anything but the money I make each month.

If I need to buy something and need to use a credit card (AND they deliver to China you'd be uber surprised at the number of companies who flat out refuse to send anything to China) I borrow a friends and put the money in their account before I purchase.

I'm old school and use the bank book. It isn't down to the penny. But it is pretty close. I get to use it tonight paying my bills.
