How do you talk to your pets?

I always baby talk to my dogs unless they're in trouble or I'm giving the commands. I also sometimes talk to them in my mumbly made-up language. I have NO idea why I do that. XD I'm just weird like that.

Oh, fun facts, we "baby talk" to animals and babies because it makes it easier to hear the different vowels and syllables. Humans do it to help their offspring learn language.

I talk to them all kinds of ways! Most of them get silly nicknames, too. You KNOW they understand more than they let on.

I have a cat and I usually talk in a sort of cooing voice to him, saying things like "You're so pretty!" When he's bad he gets my normal voice...and sometimes I meow at him...
