How do you wash dishes?

I'm yet to find a dishwasher with a little man and srubbing brush who can do the complete job. So until I do, the dishes are washed in the sink with soap and then placed in the dishwasher.

I rinse the dishes in the sink, making sure there isn't a bunch of gunk stuck to them and whatnot, and then throw them in the dishwasher.

By hand only. We don't own a dishwasher, so it's our only option available lol.

I do Pans& pots by hand, and the rest in the dishwasher.

Hand only! And believe me, I love paper plates! Lol. We never really have a ton of dishes. Ours hardly ever take more than a few minutes, maybe 15 at the most. I strongly believe in rinsing the dishes and empyting leftovers outside for the raccoons and birds or for our pets. That makes washing 100 times easier. If we had a lot of dishes, I'd have to invest in a dish washer. I simply wouldn't have time for an hour of dish washing.

I just stick them in the dishwasher. My guy will wash by hand completely if the dishwasher is full, or rinse in the sink and then put them in the dishwasher. I have heard that it's actually a waste of water/money to rinse your dishes, because most dishwashers made in the last 5-7 years are efficient enough that its not necessary to rinse first for them to get completely clean. Hubby knows this is true, but can't bring himself to stick a nasty plate in the dishwasher.

When I become a parent, I look forward to the day that it's the kid's job to clean the kitchen after dinner. I know my parents celebrated the day it was our job!

the bigger items or items that can not go in the dishwasher get hand washed. Everything else gets washed by the machine.

I prefer to do it by hand. Every dishwasher I have ever had has not done a good job with my dishes. Usually they leave water spots and food stuck on everything, regardless of Jet Dry and which dishwasher soap I use.

We have a dishwasher in our apartment but never use it. There's just no point for only two people, plus it uses a lot of water and energy.
