I have read a big part of the first one, and I found it to be badly written. I didn't think it was a great erotic book in any way nor did it change my sex life either. I enjoy Bdsm and did find it put it in a bit of negative lighting. I just thought it had a poor plot line and wasn;t one of the better books I have read as a book or as an erotica. But I do know others who have fallen in love with it so like all books it's all what you want and like.

I'm almost done with the third book. I actually like it and think it's OK. The suspense is what kept me into it. Not to mention I'm one of those people that had to finish what I start as long as it is tolerable. I think people are too quick to judge based on the critics without reading themselves. No, it isn't some grand masterpiece of literature. It has repetition and the kinky scenes are still rather vanilla, but I liked the plot. I understand people that engage in BDSM being offended of the freedom for the male character's reason for being into it but also need to keep in mind that it is just a story, fiction. It is one portrayl of a BDSM relationship. Anyone that reads it and is further interested in BDSM will look it up and see how it really is. I also think people need to forget that it is from Twilight fanfic. SO many people are bashing it for that very reason.
However, I do think the author could have made note that this isn't how all BDSM starts in the end or beginning of her book, on her website or in interviews just because this iss a new topic for most as well as it being kind of taboo in our society, if you will.

I totally agree. I enjoyed the books (so far) I can't really get into the third... but I enjoyed the story line and fell in love with ana.

Also, coming from a couple that was pretty much vanilla besides a few vibes, c-rings and glass toys, it did spark my interest. We now have under the bed restraints, wartenberg pinwheel, twisted love ties as well as handcuffs. The whole tie me up thing seemed hot and it is! We have no interest in having a Dom/Sub relationship but from me reading the book I was introduced and turned on to(and by) some of those things. I've also been looking at some clamps but the ones I want are out of stock. The whole metal balls have me curious too but I'm still afraid because they don't have a cord. I'm not into getting whipped (well a smack on the butt is fine with his hand) but I have also looked at feather ticklers here as well.

Also, writing from my phone and I have no idea why the word *freedom made it into my last post, lol! It should be REASON.

I read all three books within two weeks. I found it very suspenseful as well as erotic. But yes, as some have mentioned it is not a complete erotic trilogy (as the news is making it sound). It is a story with more than just sex.

Overall, I loved them. And will probably end up re-reading!

I'm reading them now, and as a woman who participates in BDSM with my partner, I find it a thrilling read. Is it perfect? No. But worth reading. I'm just scared of the big following it's getting and people thinking if they like their nipples pinched, that that makes them "kinky."

I read all three and quite enjoyed them, but didn't find them as erotic as they were said to be.

I enjoyed reading them. I liked the fact that there was some sort of story in there not just sex. Now I'm looking for something else to read that has a half decent plot.

I meant to not choose yes up there. It is GARBAGE! I swear that I get enraged when I hear the title of those piece of shit books! It's written so poorly and it is obviously fanfiction when you constantly read lines like, "I FLUSHED" and "HOLY CRAP" every fucking sentence...Yeah, I make it obvious that I hate it and the whole way the series ended just pissed me right the fuck off. I wasted life by reading it ugh..... I hope those smilies convey my emotions accurately lol.
