The only things I've felt that are worse than kidney stones are gall stones and having a steel plate put in to fix my broken clavicle

Having had kidney stones but being a male, I can't say if they are worse than childbirth. When I was hospitalized with my first kidney stone, I did have a nurse tell me that many females would tell me that now I knew what having a baby felt like. She said she had kidneys stones in the past, and would rather have three children back to back than have one kidney stone.

I have never had one but my mom did and she said it was extremely painful

Kidney stones are the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. It completely incapacitates me and I wish I could just blissfully slip into unconsciousness. It's worse than anything: broken bones, getting shot, child birth. It's awful.
