I go through periods where I eat oatmeal - in one of those periods now. I like mine sweetened with honey and a big glob of crunchy peanut butter mixed in. Bonus - the protein in the pb keeps me from getting hungry again for several hours.
I add chopped almonds, chocolate chips and some kind of season fruit to keep it from getting boring. In the summer we get lots of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries - the rest of the year typically bananas.
I've go to try the PB & honey - probably with bananas - AmethystSmoke thanks for idea!
Like @AmethystSmoke I go through periods where I will eat a lot of oatmeal, but it's not a regular part of my diet. It's tasty with some basic stuff in there. Usually I just toss in a couple of berries or raisins, or possibly some honey/brown sugar.
Jumping on the "sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't" bandwagon. Though I always get the instant kind. I've tried making my own plain oatmeal then adding in stuff to make it taste better, but it never does.
