My mom always told me never to talk to strangers. Okay that's a lie, my mom was nuts, she could care less if I did. I actually like to talk to strangers. The stranger the better. There like unopened gifts under the x-mas tree to me. A mystery waiting to be solved. I just need to know one thing about them, anything at all so a link is made and there no longer strangers to me. Even if I never see this person again for as long as we both shall live.
Do you go out of your way to talk to strangers, or do you keep your distance?

It actually really depends on what's going on and where we are. I don't launch into conversations with strangers without being approached first when I'm alone in public. On the internet? I'll talk to anyone and everyone.

I didn't used to be that way; as a kid I would talk to anyone anywhere at anytime. It was rather frustrating for my mother, but she always told me I'd never met a stranger in my life because they were always willing to tell me something about themselves and I was willing to share.

I do speak to the customer service staff of stores I visit and whatnot and we chat up our waitresses and waiters when we go out to eat dinner, but otherwise I pretty much keep to myself.

I don't really talk to many people, but especially people I don't know. I'm pretty social phobic. I really hate when random people feel the need to talk to me, especially when I give every bit of body language I have to say "leave me the hell alone!"

In person no I don't really talk to "strangers" I talk to almost anyone online.

I talk to all kinds of people all day long
and find it amazing how we are all the same but also so very different at the same time if that makes any sense. I have made quite a few good friends by just starting a conversation with a stranger at a bus stop or waiting in a line that never seems to move, even black friday shopping.
