I have seen way more "gift bags" with tissue paper then wrapped gifts lately. I still tend to wrap most things, but am thinking of joining the "bag it" crowd.

Any thoughts? Which wrap do you use? Which do you prefer to get a gift in...if it even matters?

I try to wrap, but sometimes a store logo gift bag is what they get.

I wrap gifts in brown packing paper and then write a note on the paper.

I've always felt bad about just throwing gift wrap away, so reusing brown packing paper assuages my guilt.

Mrs Scotch wraps...and uses fabric ribbon...and makes her own bows...not sure anyone appreciates it but her...they look great though.

Mr Scotch is a bag guy...or he asks Mrs Scotch to wrap it for him...he can...but...well...he' s lazy

I usually wrap presents if they're anywhere near a box shape, or if I can put them in a box. I generally bag gifts that involve a lot of pieces that are all non-rectangular shapes. I'm happy with receiving either, but wrapping them usually makes me the happiest.

I've begun to use bags and tissue occasionally in recent years but prefer to box and wrap gifts. I make my own bows so even gift bags will have a homemade bow on the handles.

I love wrapping gifts. If it works in a bag better ill do it and make it all pretty but wrapping paper is the best. Ill even wrap then bag.

It depends on what the giftee likes. My sister loves to unwrap presents like she has since she was a child so I try to wrap most of hers. I know others who don't want to mess with the fuss so I bag. Plus there's the time factor, if I'm in a rush, it's definitely bagged. So it's definitely a mix. It doesn't matter when I receive a gift. I just like that they thought about me.

i often use gift bags. but if i'm feeling in the spirit of the holidays i enjoy wrapping. i used to make an evening out of it. play christmas music, have some eggnog, and spend some time alone wrapping presents.

I wrap most things and even make home made bows! My mom loved to do this and I learned from her but mine aren't as good as hers were!! I like to sit and wrap and match bows and tags to the paper. My kids think I am crazy!! LOL

Sometimes I try to wrap things, but I'm lazy and bad at giving gifts at the proper time so they're usually given as is. XD

When we forget to buy pre-made embellishments I use some paper strips to make bows and ribbons.

It depends on what the gift is for me. There are some things that I will put in a nice gift bag, and then there are some that I will wrap. I really dislike wrapping though, just because I seem to be terrible at it.

I tend to wrap gifts for family and bag gifts for friends. It's not really an intentional decision, that's just usually how it works out.

Depends on the gift! Whatevers available, I tend to not buy wrapping stuff, I just re-use what has been gifted to me, in fact we dedicated a section of the closet at our old place JUST for gift bags, tissue paper, small boxes and wrapping paper. haha
