What is the sex split on EF?

80% of respondents are female so far... that's quite a significant difference!

You missed out on a few answers. I KNOW there are a bunch of "screen names" here at EF, like ours, which represent a COUPLE. In our case, HUSBAND and WIFE...so how would I really answer your poll accurately? I clicked FEMALE, since I have the keyboard, but my hubby...sitting right here, is now "uncounted". There are a number of other COUPLES who use the same screen name (a few I know, from their posts) are husband and wife. Maybe there are other male/male, or male female couples too??? Maybe even some "larger" groups as Poly groups seem to be part of our EF "family" too.

I suggest you REPOST another similar question (it is a good one), but allow more possible response options....such as MALE AND FEMALE BOTH, TWO MALES, TWO FEMALES, OTHER? (at least).

Just my two cents worth (since I have to put in a cent for my poor, uncounted hubby, whose feelings are now hurt).

How many males are not being counted...like ME..Mr. Bignuf, since my wife just clicked "female" and left me as a non-person in this tally. Woe is me. I am a nobody today.

Spoke to a local NICE adult toy store owner in town once. He said the MAJORITY of his "browsers" were MEN. However, the smaller minority of woman who DID come into the store, were his SHOPPERS and those who made up the BULK of his sales. I always thought that was a very interesting finding. I, as a woman, used to do a LOT of buying from him (before discovering EF, of course).

I wonder if this is really true or were the females the one's who were doing the SHOPPING here,but there was a partner, maybe of the opposite sex, not being counted, because of the format of the question and answers.

Is this a guess, a speculation or based on some "research"? Honestly, I am curious if there is any real "tracking" of the gender of "shoppers" in any of these online businesses. Can they even really be accurate, since it is SO anonymous?

It is funny, since you mention YouTube, and since I did see a real "marketing/tracking poll" that ASKED for gender and other information as a "pop up" associated with YouTube (I am not sure, but it might have been one of those GOOGLE tracking polls). In any case, it seemed that over 70% of the users who responded, in that 1000 person "poll" were female. However, were the answers honest? Maybe only woman were responding to a POP UP? A million things can skew such a poll. Maybe it was done at 1 PM, when "stay at home" moms might be the biggest online group? WHO KNOWS?

NO...we both share our toys AND shop for them TOGETHER!!!
