What is your scariest experience??

We lived right on Lake Ponchatrain in Louisiana when hurricane Katrina hit. We ended up not being able to evacuate until the last hours, and only made it to Pascagoula MS. We checked into a motel to take refuge from the storm when they closed the highways. Within a couple hours of getting into the motel, a tornado hit the building and blew off the entire top story of the motel (luckily were on the first floor!!!). Anyway, at that point, we had to leave the motel, as it was in pieces.... we had to ride out the rest of the storm in our car. We were VERY lucky to be unharmed, all things considered. We ended up losing our house and every earthly possession except our car and laptops that we had with us. It was a life changing experience to be sure, but despite all that was lost, I am still grateful and feel lucky we made it out alive and well!!!!! less
