What's the best time you ever had on a date? And what happened that made it special?

The time C and I went to the county fair one night, six weeks into dating. It was extremely crowded when we first got there, and my agoraphobia was in full tilt. C recognized it and pulled me into quieter areas to let me calm down. When the crowds thinned out after ten, then we really began to enjoy the fair.

It made it clear that C was able to handle me at my worst in a calm, easy fashion, and that I actually enjoyed being at a fair with him. It was amazing to look back at him while we were at the top of the ferris wheel, with him still looking at me in love despite my earlier antics, and knowing deep in my gut that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
