When you shop in the supermarket, where do you go first. Where last?

I just went shopping with a girlfriend. She got her eggs and milk first, then worked her way through the store...finishing up in produce. I thought she should get frozen and cold goods last...right before checkout.

Do you think about things like that when you shop?

I agree with you. I begin in the non-perishable aisles, then get my veggies, and finish shopping by picking up items in the frozen and cold food sections...I even bring along freezer bags to pack my cold stuff right after checkout.

We start in produce, finish in the bakery. That's just how our store is set up. Frozen food, dairy, and milk is in the back and we tend to make a U shape around the store so frozen or dairy stuff is picked up in the middle of the trip. We try to stick to the perimeter of the store, as this is where the fresher, healthy food is. We don't spend too long in the aisles getting processed foods.

I start in the produce and end in the dairy aisle--the store is set up that way.

I agree with you, canned goods and things like that first, then work my way to cold and frozen food.

The way our store is set up, you can't shop logically like that without having to double back several times. We start in dairy, then non-perishables, then meat, then produce, then frozens and any bread product/dried fruit/peanut butter we need. Usually, he goes through the store and gets everything, while I stand at the deli and order lunch meat because our deli is painfully slow.

produce just because it's right inside the door. plus what else i buy might be based on what produce i end up getting.

then dry goods, then frozen, then dairy, then lastly bread and bakery(so it doesn't get squished)
