For those of you who are single and don't "hook-up" with strangers, what would it take for you to break that rule? Would you be willing to break that rule at all?

I never have just "hooked up" before and I never would. Things for me are more complex than that. My heart has to be somewhere in the mix.

I have before and though it's thrilling, for me personally I went through the whole next day wondering if the other person was "clean" (disease-free) or worrying that I'd have an awkward run-in with that person sometime down the road. Plus, in my experiences, it has been extremely impersonal, which is a downer.

My first time turned out very well but I still didn't think I'd ever go about it that way again, until recently I did, very very impulsive, and so far has been ongoing and great. I do have friends who did and things didn't turn out so well for one reason or another, so there is that risk.

No way jose to the stranger sex. Too weird, too emotional, and unsafe for my tastes. Call me a prude or whatever you want but it's not my taste. That said, it does't make it wrong for someone else. Consenting adults are free to do as they please and if that works for someone else, they can totally go for it.

I'm technically single, depending on how you look at my relationship with my girl, but I think of myself as in a relationship with her, but if I were single and unattached I'd have sex with a stranger. Have done many a time. I see no problem with it.
