Ok so I really just wanted to bring everyone's attention to an article I had read on a break at work on my phone. I was so shocked (pleasantly as well as horrified all in the same article) that I just had to share with all of my Eden friends!

Adult Drive-Thru Store

So how awesome is a drive-thru sex store? But at the same time, reading this: "[In Alabama] - Distribution of sex toys is a misdemeanor on the first offense with a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine and one year in jail, although the law doesn't ban possession" really makes me worry about how little progress we've made as a country.

Aaaand because I simply love polls , who would risk jail time in Alabama to spread quality sex toys to people in desperate need of "sexual stimulation"?

I like the idea of a drive through store but I don't think I would use it. I would much rather go in and browse. It would be good when you know what you want though. I hope things go well for the store.

Same! I never had a shyness issue about being in a sex store. But a drive-thru is insanely cool! Like if you run out of condoms, your favorite lube, or need something fun really quick between heading home from work!

I think it's great that a drive-thru sex toy store is available, but it wouldn't be necessary for me to use one. With EF in my life, I don't even go to brick and mortar stores anymore. And if I needed to go for any reason, I would just go in.

I can't believe the President of Morality in Media compared the sex toy business to cancer. That is UTTERLY ridiculous. I wish people would realize there is nothing wrong with consenting adults enjoying themselves. I would totally distribute sex toys for people who couldn't buy them even if it meant jail time!

It is a cool concept, but I would much rather go into a store to find what I want. Of course, I would also much rather just buy something on Eden.

Now one question, do they have Super Value Menu's? Like I would like a number 5 with the silicone dildo on the side.

The funny part is, my bf lives in AL, and I plan to move there someday from CA. The law is silly, and I heard it's not upheld anymore either. The only people who really make a stink about it are super conservative parents and also the bible thumpers. Which is funny, because my bf's mom is a bible thumper, yet he told me when he was little he happened upon quite a large stash of things his parents had, lol.

I think a drive through idea is nice, especially if you know what you want and want to get it quick and go. Prolly makes condom buying easier, the quicker the better.

I think a drive-thru would be cool for picking up online orders or something like that. I wouldn't want to just drive up and order something though. If I'm getting in and out of the car anyway I'll go inside and see what I'm buying.

But the law has a loophole that allows for the sale of sex toys that are needed for unspecified "medical, scientific, educational, legislative, judicial, or law enforcement". So, under those pretenses it would not end up in jail time.

I read that article last week too and it sounds like business is booming at the drive through. I wondered what they said in the little microphone and if they have a big board in the back like the fast food places do.

I think it'd be great for younger couples who need condoms. If someone underaged could buy them at the drive-thru rather than going to a store where they might run into people they'd rather not have know their private business it'd probably be a nice boost in safer sex. Then you could get selection, help on choosing and not even have to leave your car.

I hadn't considered that but I sure hope it's working! Safer sex and fewer STDs would be a great result!

Same here. I prefer to do as much seeing and touching as I can, get a feel for the weight even if it is through a package. BUT then again... if my Fun Factory Semi Realistic died on me and I knew what I wanted specifically, I might do the drive thru if I was short on time.

On the whole, I don't think I would go out and break the law, like that. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind bending the rules now and then, but for things like this, I feel, should be done through legal channels.

And, as a buyer, I wouldn't go to one, anyway. I need to research my purchases thoroughly before buying.

yep. Drive thru daiquiris are a staple around here.

I don't think I'd use a drive in place for toys - browsing is more ideal - but if you just need to pick up a couple condoms, sure, why not?

I agree that it would be great if you just needed some lube or something, but for anything more I think i would need to browse the inside of the store.

I saw a report of those drive-thru daiquiris places. Though the business discourages customers from drinking the daiquiri while driving, people probably do it anyway. In fact, the news anchor got hidden camera footage of a customer ordering an alcoholic drink, drinking it in the car, and then picking up his kids from his ex-wife or ex-girlfriend for visitation. The news anchor tried to warn her that he'd been drinking, but she packed the kids in the car anyway and let him leave. Drive thru booze just seems like a bad idea.
