I carry condoms (well I don't need them anymore but I use to have like 5 in my purse at all times), my friends all carry condoms, and there's loads of kids who always carry condoms. Why? Because we don't want STD's and we don't want to get pregnant. Not because we're having sex for money. That should not be evidence.

This is so messed up, it makes me mad. Safe sex is a good thing! And, I'm sorry, but a woman carrying a condom is automatically a prostitute, whereas a man carrying a condom is....what? I doubt they are arresting guys for having a bunch of condoms in their wallet.
Not to mention the fact that I don't think police should be arresting women (many of them young and/or runaways from abusive homes) who are so desperate for money that they are willing to walk down the street looking for strangers to have sex with. Arrest the pimps who take advantage if you're going to arrest anyone for selling/buying sex. Don't make women protecting themselves from STDs a crime.

Not only is it ridiculous, it's completely sexist.
It supposes that women would never have a reason to carry condoms because women aren't responsible for safe sex in a relationship or do not even like sex and actively avoid it. It also sends the message that women should not be having sex outside of sex with intent to procreate.
Try to check your typical teenage boy's wallet - then tell him he's a suspected prostitute.
