House votes to defund Planned Parenthood.

Although no federal funds are allowed to be used for abortions, House Republicans have passed a bill that would remove PP's funding altogether. This means stripping people who otherwise couldn't afford it of their access to birth control (which would lower the abortion rate anyway), breast and gyno exams, STD tests, and safe sex information.

Though this will almost certainly not pass through the Senate, frankly I'm embarrassed that a law like this could pass in my country. I realize that this is just a tactic to close the doors of abortion clinics, but it is being done at the expense of real people's health, and not only that, but it would likely cause more abortions in the long run.

The lovely USA House of representatives however chose to let the Pentagon sponsor NASCAR races.

Who needs silly things like PBS or Planned Parenthood? We've got NASCAR!

(Look, okay, I'm all for Nascar. It's great, my mother is like Joey Logano's #1 fan. But I don't think that NASCAR should come before PBS.)

I think Planned Parenthood should be part of the private sector rather than public. Government involvement messes everything up anyway

Why in the hell should we pay for bullshi* like NPR spreads along with the abortion mills like Planned Parenthood? It is utter lunacy!
