I'm not religious either so I'm glad to see the majority of votes in this poll are by others like me. I think that says something about sexual liberation, it seems that the majority of the people in this online community are not religious which should say something about sexual liberation and religion.
From a biological perspective, the purpose of our lives is to have sex so that life continues on after we die. Religion hates this, they like people to believe that the purpose of life is to obey god.
The funny thing about god is there are always people who speak on his behalf, who know his will and aren't afraid to tell you what you can and cannot do. (Like the catholic church in the middle ages forbidding sex for the purpose of mere pleasure, and punishing certain positions like doggy style because that's the position so many animals mate in)

It makes no difference to me. I'm not "religious" but I believe in a Supreme Being.
If He "watches" people having sex, I doubt there is any prurient interest on His part. Why would there be? To something like G*d, sex is simply an action of animals, no different than eating, sleeping, communicating, walking or taking a crap. Why would His watching sex be any different than any of the other actions?
For a Being who created the Universe, the planets, the suns, the atoms, matter, antimatter, Dark Matter, Dark Energy etc, WHY would he care if two of his insignificance, little mammal beings were engaging in sexual acts? I would think for a Being of this type would have more important things to worry about than how two mammals touch each other while copulating. Why would He care?

I actually used to struggle with something like this because I was raised in a religious home and taught that sex outside of marriage is wrong. It wasn't so much thinking he was watching me as it was guilt planted by the years of talks about abstinence. Now I'm not religious because I got tired of being told that all sins were equal yet my having sex out of wedlock was somehow worse than their alcohol problem. I do still believe in God but personally feel *he* is a being that is loving, compassionate, and has better things to worry about than two people who love each other having sex.
