I just read the two reviews on the Book "Opening Up." Has anyone else read them or the "Ethical Slut?" I'm interested in starting a general discussion about books that look at non-monogamy or open relationships. ( I may need to review them all!)

I'm currently reading opening up. I just started yesterday.

I've read the "Ethical Slut." It was quite readable, but I believe it is geared toward people already receptive to open relationships--I don't think it's going to create a whole lot of converts.
I can't wait to have read enough to write a review on this! This looks like a fantastic book. Especially compared to the Threesome book that I just finished. I'm happy to have it.

I ended up stealing it from my partner (Bill) and love the book so far.
I have read both "Opening Up" and "The Ethical Slut". While I enjoy both books, I feel that they have different messages and tones. They both have a lot to offer in communication and negotiations in poly relationships. I suggest reading both.

You should do linking and contrasting reviews on both to offer a perspective on both. I've heard that "The Ethical Slut" is somewhat out of date and offers a particular perspective. After reading "Opening Up," I probably wouldn't bother unless I read something that really motivated me.

The new edition of "The Ethical Slut" is fantastic! I agree that the two books have different messages and tones. I'm working on both a descriptive and comparative review of "The Ethical Slut" right now.

My sweetie and I weren't even considering opening up until we read Ethical Slut.
It totally converted us into slut-hood.
I've since loaned the book to three friends and they've all opened up too.
