Does Chronic Pain Effect Your Relationship?

So for a good long while my fiancé has struggled with chronic pain issues. And it deffinately has impacted our sex life, not to mention other areas of our relationship. I am wondering if there are other people out there with this issue and if so how do they deal with it? How do you manage a healthy sex life while fighting chronic pain? How do you cope with imbalance in the relationship?
