Would you date a man that was going bald?

Probably not, but it depends. There are some guys that look good even though they're balding/bald.

I have 2 friends who started balding around age 20, it just happens! They're still attractive people, I think they both rock the bald look. My roommate has a high hairline too (he's also early 20's), a lot of guys lose their hair early. Though I really do prefer girlishly long styled hair (or any cut that suits them well), I wouldn't turn someone I liked down just because they were balding, but I'm not particularly attracted to baldness, it has to suit the person.

I'm in a similar boat. My boyfriend is 28 and balding ever so slightly on the top. He's got super fine, thin hair anyway so it's not too noticeable but I love him so I don't care.

Yeah, I mean I would hope that the best quality of my partner isn't something as superficial as his hair.

I answered "depends" because I have known guys who started balding in their 20s. I'm particularly thinking of one close friend I have from the military & a guy I dated (also military), both balding in their early 20s. They both kept their heads shaved - like I said, military - so it wasn't really a big deal.
