I am so ticked off to find that several people have literally copied entire sections from my reviews. I'm not going to say who or what the product was because I'm not into embarrassing people, but it makes me so pissed! I work really hard on my reviews and it's annoying when other people get credit for what you've done.

I can tell you that if you find out that this has happened the EF gods know how to take care of it and will. I had a student that did and was banned. Stuff like this is not taken lightly.

If you suspect your review has been plagiarized, please message Review Program Administrative Assistant JR and link him to the reviews you suspect of being plagiarisms. I understand you don't want to embarrass anyone, and this way it can be handled privately. But we take plagiarism very seriously, and we need to be informed of these cases so we can deal with them.

I've had this happen to me too.
If you think your review has been copied, please let me know. There's a certain place in afterlife for plagiarizers and people who talk through the movie in the theater.
If you could provide as much info as possible, I'll look into it and reply back. If it looks like it's been copied, the whole thing goes to Kristi, who will then polish her ban-hammer.

I've caught reviews that were taken from the Descriptive Review, word for word and afaik, the plagiarists' reviews were removed. Eden really frowns on this, as it is stealing Intellectual Property and someone needs to know. Don't put the specific data HERE on the forum, though. Please PM or email an administrator directly.
I've seen reviews that were really close to mine, but not really enough to make me think more than someone read my review and probably had some similar words in mind when they wrote theirs. Direct plagiarism is different. And it is taken damn seriously.
Your poll says "5 or more" of your reviews have been plagiarized. ! That is really serious and something that the Administration of Eden needs to know about.

My fiance was thinking that maybe they were truly just stating the same things as me, but I mean they are almost word for word. It looks like the people just got smart and switched sentences around to make it look a little different.

I totally didn't even realize that. I should have reworded the question as well because I said "several" which someone pointed out in my inbox.
I'm looking forward into it, and I'm going to use my little plaigarism program from school and submit the pieces to see how much is actually copied.
One of you mentioned that the care and cleaning parts are often copied. That doesn't bother me too much since care and cleaning isn't exactly part of the review about the toy. But when it's word for word, or close to it, it's just ridiculous.

Right now I am waiting on a new item to arrive and read one review I really liked. I have no intention of copying it but their details were very nice and it helped keep in my mind to look out for some of these same things when first using the new item. (i.e. smells of opening package, cleaning, possible uses, things to look out for)

I didn't vote, but I know that it does happen on EF. It does suck and I know how you feel. I had a review up and read another, my wife's wording was used from her personal experience section. There isn't enough proof to have pulled that review the other person did, but we did see that this person (who is no longer at EF as far as I know) did do that to many others.
I don't understand why some people think it is okay to do. Yes, I am aware that some information does end up repeated over and over, that is not what I am speaking of. I think when ones personal experiences are copied, it becomes a sortof "invasion".
I know that the correct way of figuring all this out has already been given to you. I hope that a resolution to your problem comes for you quickly and soon.

I have read certain reviews that looked an awful lot like mine, but upon further inspection I found that some just have the same style and opinion as I do.

I've never done it & I've only got one review so far, so I'm sure no one's copied it, but I think it's kind of stupid to copy someone else's. The reviews are so easy: just write what you think. It's an opinion and if you've got to look to other people for your own opinion, you shouldn't "write" reviews in the first place.
