How much is too much?

I'd actually be a little angry if a friend did told me they spent that much on me because it seems like a guilt tactic, not to mention there's no conceivable way I could spend that much on anyone else. There is a reason you're supposed to take the price tag off of gifts, it isn't about the cost, it's about the thought.

Yikes. I only told my friend hers "wasn't expensive" so she didn't feel the need to spend a lot on me.

I say just do what you're were going to... if you even want to do that at all.
