I'm currently eyeing a few vintage inspired pieces on this site and a few others, but I showed them to my partner and she didn't seem all that enthused by the style. I absolutely love the sexiness of a little more coverage, and because I'm a girl of size, I look forward to trying it out, as it will accentuate my curves much better than some lingerie that I currently own. What are your thoughts on the style of vintage lingerie? Do you find it hideous or "granny-ish," or is it classy?

It's a toss up for me and depends on the style, color etc. Have you and your partner tried browsing through the lingerie together to see if there is something that you can mutually enjoy?

I love vintage lingerie, but I can see how they can look "granny-ish" depending. I personally think if you've got the right sized and shaped garment for your body, it can be quite sexy. Get whatever makes you happy!

I prefer them because they shape me better under my clothes ... and the backseamed stockings of real retro lingerie are much better quality. Secrets in Lace link is pricey, but their stuff is gorgeous, made of high-grade materials, and last forever.

I think it's classy, and more importantly, if you feel sexy in it, you're guaranteed to look hot!
It's possible to buy vintage pieces on the cheap: I've made some amazing finds at second-hand stores. Then you can try out a few things and decide what you'd like to invest more money in.

I don't think any of it would look good on me, but it depends on the person wearing it and how they feel about their own appearance. Attitude is 90% of sexy.

I think vintage styles have an entirely different appeal to them than super skimpy outfits. I think a woman can look sexy in either, but the word "beautiful" comes to mind more with vintage inspired pieces than with skimpier pieces. The vintage pieces are also more flexible in terms of what you can do with them; being able to wear some of them practically rather than just as something to dress you up.
