Okay, some further testing will have to be performed, but here's my assessment of Yes lube so far:
I decided to use my VixSkin toys to start with, since VixSkin is known for absorbing lube pretty quickly (and I was in the mood for it). I'll be trying a few different materials in the future.
Yes Water-Based, compared against Sliquid H2O:
Honestly? Not much difference between the two. Yes lasted about as long as Sliquid, which was a little surprising since it's a lot thicker. Possibly because of the thickness, it didn't spread over the toy quite as readily. Yes feels very natural, but so does the Sliquid to me, and since I often don't produce a whole lot of natural lubricant on my own, Sliquid actually feels a bit better because it's more fluid. Presently, I'm not too impressed. Since I can get an 8.5oz. bottle of Sliquid for less than the price of a 4.4oz bottle of Yes, I'm thinking I won't get any more of the latter.
Yes Oil-Based (my first oil-based lube):
I used this in the shower, since the original reason I started looking for an oil-based lube was so I could use my silicone toys in the water. The oil-based Yes feels a bit strange (I'd even say a little greasy), but it's actually not unpleasant. And it lasted splendidly, even with the hot water falling on it much of the time. It didn't come off until I washed the toy properly. I'd get more, unless I can find an oil-based lube of equal quality for a smaller price.
Still other materials to try it with. I'll report back if anyone's interested.
