I think actual marble would be awesome. Just check the package to see if you can find the actual material listing. I know they have a lot of plastic toys that look EXACTLY like marble.

I would wonder about keeping it clean - rock usually has small fractures.

Sounds like it would be a bit expensive for Spencers but who knows. I agree with MaryExy. Make sure it's actually marble, or look it up online.
