How would you recommend hooking up with someone safely as possible?

Say you need some action as it were but...
Afraid of disease?
Afraid of rape?
Afraid the only way someone would sleep with you is if you pay them?
Afraid they would just use you and not give you any pleasure?
Afraid they wouldn't sleep with you once you told them your sexual history (IE been raped/hardly any sexual experience?

I guess how would you deal with those concerns, and have you hooked up with someone safely before?

It sounds like there are a few ways to combat all of these issues:
1) Ask them before hand and use protection for oral, vaginal, and anal sex

2)STAY SOBER and make sure they're someone you know. If they're interested in you, you're interested in them, and you've been talking and flirting for a while, you'll know if they seem safe. Trust your instincts!

3) If you've been talking to them and flirting and you both want to hook up, it really doesn't seem like this should be an issue?

4) Most people understand that it's more pleasurable for everyone with some foreplay and such. Let them know what you like and don't like. Again, if they seem into you and you've been flirting, they probably won't just go in dry and run off in a few minutes. If they aren't being respectful you can always get up and leave

5) I... That's kinda tough? Like, that doesn't really seem like something you should tell someone you've been flirting with. Like "Hey, sexy, what are you wearing?" "Wanna come over and find out?" "I've been raped." If that trauma is going to cause issues with hooking up with sexy acquaintances you may want to put off hooking up until you get some counseling about it. :/
