How often do you get sick?

i get a cold but never the flu

I used to get the flu at least twice a year, sometimes more. But since I've started being more vigilant about washing my hands and eating healthier I only get it maybe once a year. Although I haven't gotten the flu at all for 2 years straight.

Colds, a couple times a year. Flu maybe once.

I dont get the flu often but I always have allergies

I have a child in elementary school. That place is a germ factory and since she started, we all get colds regularly. She gets the stomach flu a few times a year. And damn near every winter brings home the flu or strep throat. Christmas of 2009 was awesome. The baby was a few months old and the girl child brought home strep throat for Christmas vacation. Even the 3 month old got it. Fun Fun Fun. Our entire family got sick that year. My parents. My grandmother. His parents. His sister and her kid. My siblings. Everyone LOVED us that year. Before she started school though, my husband got the flu every year like clockwork. Usually about mid December to late February he is down for the count for a week and a half. Poor guy. Been taking care of his flu every year since before we got married.

I usually get sick only once a year which isn't too bad!

I don't even remember the last time I had the flu, but it's been years, maybe 5-7 years ago. About once a year I'll get a cold, but it's nothing major and not too bothersome.

I've only gotten the flu once, the year I got the flu shot. I get colds fairly infrequently, and they're never terrible, they don't really affect what I'm doing.
When I do get sick, it's something strange.

I've always bragged about my killer immune system: I was sick all the time as a kid and then grew out of it and had barely a cold through my teens and early 20s. But a year ago, things suddenly change. I've been to a doctor more times in the last year than I have in the last 10 years. I got a terrible case of bronchitis in late January, was clear for 3 days, got another cold, was good for 2 days, and then got the flu, which was so bad that I stayed home from work the entire week (I NEVER miss work!).

I don't do much bragging anymore.

I was healthy as a horse until two yrs ago. I had a P.E., Than really bad pneu, followed by the flu and several colds. To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with lupis, and lung cancer. So if a dust bunny winks at me, i'm sick. This sucks and wouldn't wish this on anyone. More $ needs to be spent on screening ppl to find out what makes them sick. It took them 3yrs. to say you have Lupis and 5min. after my last ezray to say, You have cancer.
