If it clears up acne or not is a matter of finding the pill that works for you.

I'm on LoSeasonique (because of issues with my period - having only four a year was the best solution) and it has had the happy side-effect of lessened acne.

However, I've read accounts from plenty of people who had WORSE acne and such because of it, so it's very different person-to-person.

I've been on pills for 8 years, Each time I change brands they have different effects. I never had acne or cramps before, but it didn't make them any worse. I have put on weight but I'm not unhappy with myself. On the pill my periods are regular, and come around the same time each month. They also tend to be lighter and shorter. Before that I was very irregular and my periods were sometimes lighter, sometimes heavier, sometimes I'd have it for three days, sometimes seven.

I like the pill it works for me.

I can say Yasmin, made me irritable. I was the raging bitch from hell on that one. Glad I changed to seasonal now.

I've been on plenty of different pill brands which I noticed I started breaking out after starting, but then after trying the ring, I didn't experience the same problems anymore. I was so hopeful before that it would help my acne.

Mine did weird things with my acne. it didn't really clear it up exactly, but it changed how I got it. I think how it is now is still probably preferable to how it was though.

Mine acne mostly cleared up and it also helped with mood swings. I take mine consecutively with no sugar pills, whenever I stop the active pills for a week my acne comes back. Could be why it works for some better than others.

I've never been on the pill, but I've been on the shot. It didn't affect my skin.

I'm not totally sure whether it has helped or not. I never had really bad acne to begin with, and I still get the occasional pimple, but I think the pill may have helped a bit. I started taking the pill in my early 20s, though, so it may just have been that I had outgrown the worst of it.

I have only been on a generic form of Seasonale called Introvale. It had no effect on my acne but I gained 15 pounds and occasionally lactated.
