Generally I just refer to it as my pussy, I think the only time I'd call something down there by it's proper name is at the doctors.
Funny thing is I used to call cats "pussycats" when I was younger and couldn't understand why my aunt used to scold me for it until I started learning about sex.

There are literally no words I like when it comes to describing female genitals, at least in a sexual context. "Vagina" and "clit" are what I normally use in everyday conversation, but they feel too technical for use in the bedroom. "Cunt" is a word that I feel can never be "reclaimed"--I doubt I would use it myself, and I certainly would not want someone else to use it, especially without my permission. "Vaj" sounds kind of slangy and casual to me. I guess "pussy" is the best option, but I can't say that I particularly like that one either--it sounds a little cutesy to me, and it is SO overused in porn and erotica.
