yeah, if you're looking for sex, don't bother. They FINALLY (spoiler coming for those that haven't read it...) get married, get to the honeymoon locale, she strips down naked and you turn the page and...she's waking up the next morning. EVERY adult I know that read it checked about 9 times to see if their book was missing a page or if they were stuck together. It's painfully anti-climactic.

Supposedly, however, there's an adult version of Breaking Dawn out there that Stephenie Meyer wrote as a bday gift for her sister or friend or something or other. I'd love to get my hands on a copy of that.

I have no idea what a Mary Sue is.

I haven't actually publicly posted anything in YEARS. I think I wrote my last story when I was 15. It was part tongue-in-cheek comedy, part erotica with a Harry Potter/Narcissa Malfoy pairing with some Snape/Narcissa thrown in. If I did start posting again, I'll probably venture back to fanfiction.net after burning my old account. With fire. I'll let you know when I do

In short, a character that is either too perfect or too angsty or some combination of the two so as to be completely unrealistic. The kind of character you want to punch in the face because they're so annoying.

damn near non-existent. At least as far as description goes. I read through three and a half books waiting for the details of those two to getting it on. I was PISSED.

slightly off topic: anyone else dying to see Vampires Suck? (it's a Twilight parody that's in theaters)

Like Bella?

I didn't hate the first two books, but really can't stand the character of Bella.

I loved them but they are not really reality at all. It's total fantasy reading but there happen to be the only Anne Rice books I like

In addition to hating Bella (which I do), if you're into description and adult writing, Twilight is disappointing in other aspects... she must have typed that Edward 'grimaced' at least 300 times per book. I understand that it was written for a YA audience, but at 16 I would've been bored to tears by her writing style. I so fell for Edward and Alice and Jasper and Esme and James though...that's definitely her strong point.

I'm not sure how it happened but I love that we've gone from hotels and airplanes to blood sucking sex fiends. I'm not complaining though. Now if only we could combine the two... Vampires in hotels... they could destroy all the furniture they want to!

I'm a HUGE LKH fan. I devour her books, though I've lost track of the number of partners Anita has.

Named after a character a writer created in a Star Trek fanfiction to mock all characters of that type.

:gasps: Aww man...I love Anne Rice. She's the reason why I love vampires so much but since I've gotten some good reviews on sleeping beauty I'll have to just go ahead and get them. I didnt want to buy all three of them at once and they werent any good.
