Oh, that does sound fabulous. I'm a huge fan of room service, too. And wine...
What about you? Where do you like to stay? It's no fun if you don't get to answer the questions too!

Mmmm... I am such a sucker for a big comfortable bed. I think it's because I'm a chronic insomniac, always in search of the perfect night's sleep.

It really is fantastic. And it's got some of my favorite restaurants in the city, my favorite pool (seriously, look up the pool online...its positively blissful), and my favorite casino so besides taking a lil trip to do some shopping or just for variety, I see no need to go elsewhere. If you ever go, please do let me know!

So question - the people that read both books - which did you prefer?

Oh, I mentioned the hotel on Hilton Head Island. I think it was a Hilton...

Favorite hotels: Thistle Charing Cross in London-- right on top of the Charing Cross tube station, convenient to Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. The rooms were quaint (European hotel rooms tend to be much smaller than American hotel rooms) and the bed was amazingly comfortable.

The Grand Floridian in Walt Disney World. Silly, but utter fantasy decadence. They have a guy in period costume roasting chestnuts over an open fire (yes, they do) in the winter and you can get a wake-up call from Mary Poppins. Attic rooms are cozy and romantic, in that fantasy Disney way (and if you tell them it's a special occasion, they'll often throw in a special treat-- we had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered for free).

Hmm... can't remember the name of the hotel, but we stayed on the Lindbergh Bay side of St. Thomas in 2006. Just absolutely gorgeous view, though the hotel wasn't upscale by any means.

Thinking... I'll be back...

I've never been to Disney but when I do go (my boyfriend and I want to bring his kids) I want to stay at the Grand Floridian. The little ones will probably put a damper on any naughty activity, but I still think we'll have a blast. We'll probably only be able to take them once, so when we do it, we're going to do everything as lavishly as possible.

WDW really knows how to give you the hotel experience. I've been to several of their onsite properties (some are much more affordable than the Grand Floridian) and they're all pretty terrific. There are several that offer suites-- two rooms with a bathroom, so you can enjoy family time and couple time, too.

Well, I've never been with kids (we have an 8 month old), but I think it's definitely the way to go.

Where in Florida is Disney World located? Not close to Fort Lauderdale, by chance?

Orlando. Or very close to it. Pretty much the center of the state.

Anyone else have favorite hotels? Or favorite hotel stories? Oh, and is there anything in Do Not Disturb (like I said I'm only 1/2 way through) about hotel parties or lifestyle meet-ups? The ones that take place near me are at a Sheraton and they have a party at the restaurant/bar but most people that intend to stay and play reserve rooms upstairs.

Hello Splendwhore, Jul!a, Laurel, ToriRebel and anyone else I forgot.

Disney World is in Orlando. We've been there a few times and I loved it. Silly because it's really for the kids but they do find ways to keep the grown ups happy too.

Though I'm still unhappy about the fact that they got rid of Pleasure Island. It was my favorite place to go there.

I don't have that book, but I'm curious. Are any of the stories based around a bed and breakfast?

Well, let's try to jump start the conversation! DO NOT DISTURB and MILE HIGH CLUB are both edited by the fabulous Rachel Kramer Bussel, who has edited dozens of erotica anthologies. Do you have a particular favorite RKB anthology?

Personally, I think my favorite RKB collections are RUBBER SEX and DO NOT DISTURB. I love fetish collections like RUBBER SEX and I think I've already established my obsession with hotel beds.

Not that I've found yet but I certainly hope so! Dirty raunchy sex in a proper Victorian B&B would be a pretty hot juxtaposition.
