Many moons ago, when my big brother was in high school and would bring lady friends home, I learned that it's not hard to hear through our bedroom doors. Don't worry, I'm not one to eavesdrop. Turned around and went the other way as soon as I realized it.
But after that, I learned how to stay pretty quiet. Sometimes it can be too hard to keep it down when using toys, so I'm a little more cautious about who's around in that case, or use them in the shower. I don't really like the idea of anyone in the house knowing exactly when I'm masturbating, though I couldn't care less if the neighbors heard since I don't really talk to them.

I had a roommate (male) who liked to bring girls over and have obnoxiously loud sex when I was home and could hear. I learned to do laundry or turn on a movie or music or something when that was going on, but I was woken up by it or otherwise annoyed by it a few times so I retaliated once or twice. Depending on the place though. If it's strangers around, then I'm all up for noise. If it's a family house or my roommates are about I tend to be VERY quiet.

It's all kind of moot - I'm a gasper, not a screamer, so even at my loudest you can usually only hear me if you're on the same floor.
