I looked at a lot on-line about of curiosity before I was 18.
I haven't really been to one in person. I was in a smoke shop that *also* had some sex toys, but they weren't the reason we were there (my friend wanted a cigarette holder).

My first trip to a RL sex shop was the 18 and older only backroom of a lingerie store. It was seriously sleazy, but this was about 20 years ago.

For online, I was well under 18. I went to my first real shop when I was 18. Couldn't wait to check it out. There are some really nice shops near me. One of them is in the back of a nice floral boutique! I had seen the smattering of stuff they had in Spencer's when I was a kid, but I don't count that.

The very first time i ever went to a sex shop was when I was 19 and they wouldn't let me in. The guys at the counter were convinced i had a fake ID. Never went back to a real store. Completely mortified me, especially since I was with friends, one of which who was shorter and younger looking than me (at least in my opinion looked younger).

I was browsing online and at Spencers before I was 18. Shortly after my 18th birthday, I went to my first real sex store on my way to my first strip club. It was so soon after my birthday, the employees wished me a happy birthday. I could not wait to shop in person
