Slim butt plug by Doc Johnson - review by Mr. I

For someone who wants to have fun without breaking the bank this is a toy that is worth considering.

This toy has several features that make it a good butt plug. First, its neck is not thick and moderately long as to allow the anal sphincter to relax after insertion and help keep it in place. Second, it is intelligently tapered to allow for easy insertion. Third, its base is sufficiently wide as to prevent the toy to get too far into the rectal canal - a potentially embarrassing situation, especially if it requires an ER visit. Also, unlike other butt plugs, the base of this toy does not collapse or fold when in use.

However, there are some things that I didn't like about this butt plug. I am aware that rubber toys are not as slick and hygienic as silicone toys, but I expected this toy to be better designed. Unfortunately, this is not the case. This butt plug is made of two different sorts of materials. It has an inner squishy jelly-like core that is skin-toned and covered by a harder rubbery shell (in my case, this was mauve). The core is not completely covered by the shell: the base of the toy exposes part of the core. There is a seam between the two materials that can harbor harmful bacteria, no matter how many antibacterial cleaning products are used. This is why it is better to cover this toy with a condom.

Another thing that I didn't quite like was the smell. While it is not too strong or too bad, this toy has a minty smell which I assume comes from the jelly-like core.

Due to the good shape of the toy, the need for lube is minimal. First time when I used this toy I didn't even need lube. However, for those less experienced with anal play some lubricant may be mandatory.
