Use

The Mega Booty Beads by BMS Enterprises are designed for anal use, but are also useful for G-spot exploration, nipple play, and external stimulation as well.

There's no way to absolutely sterilize the toy though, so if you plan to switch from anal to vaginal use or share it with a partner, you should use a condom. Or better yet, buy a second one!

Material / Texture

Mega Booty beads are made of phthalates-free ABS plastic with a RubberCote exterior that contains no latex. There is only a very faint powdery scent to it, and the silky smooth texture means you need very little lube to insert the toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The overall length of the toy is 11-3/4", with 7-1/4" of that being insertable, so there's plenty of length to reach the prostrate or G-spot. The 3/4" cylindrical tip has a slightly rounded end to make it easier to insert, giving way to alternating beads of 3/8" and 5/8" widths. Those larger beads in particular create a wonderful tugging sensation as each one is removed from the anus, whether you have the vibrations turned on or not.

Being able to bend and pose the toy into any position is a particularly useful feature during solo play, because not only can you move it to suit your own unique body shape, you can also keep the control button facing towards you during use. Mega Booty Beads do hold their shape fairly well, though too much pressure will cause them to bend in other directions.

This slim flexible toy wouldn't be too very to conceal within your room, and it can easily be packed in any travel bag or purse.

Functions / Performance / Controls

A cap on the bottom of the handle unscrews to allow you to insert one AA battery, which is not included with the toy, and then a simple push button on the bottom of this cap lets you cycle through the toy's three speeds. If you find that the toy doesn't work after inserting the battery, you might have to open the cap again and gently pry up the metal battery contacts that are found on the rim, and be sure you screw the cap on very tightly afterward.

The vibrations can be felt evenly throughout every bead of the toy, and the lowest speed is very gentle and whispery quiet so even the most timid users will enjoy it. The middle speed's vibrations are strong enough to be felt anywhere on the body, but aren't overwhelming, and the noise level depends on how you're using it. If you have the toy inserted, all that can be heard is a mid-range hum that's audible through the blankets but not through a door. Otherwise it makes a rattly sound that just might be heard through a bedroom door.

High speed produces strong vibrations that might be more than a first-time user would enjoy, since it can be somewhat numbing. The sound at this level is similar to the noise heard at medium speed, with the exception that there is no doubt it could be heard through a closed door if you don't have the toy inserted somewhere.

No matter how you bend this toy the vibrations never slow, and the Mega Booty Beads perform just as well under water as they do in the bedroom so you can use them anywhere you please.

Care and Maintenance

Mega Booty Beads can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, toy cleaner, or isopropyl alcohol. To clean between the beads, straighten the rod, grasp both ends of the toy, pull slightly, and twist until you hear a snap. This will cause the beads to separate along the rod and lock open so you can scrub in between them (a small soft-bristled tooth brush is good for this). When you are done, simply reverse the procedure and it will lock the beads back together.

You can use silicone and water-based lubricants with the booty beads, but oils may damage the RubberCote finish.

Packaging

The packaging is a simple clear plastic casing that pulls apart from the top. Illustrated cleaning instructions are printed on the cardboard insert, along with some general product information and usage tips. It's durable enough to be wrapped for gift-giving, but not for a permanent storage solution for the toy.

Experience

I didn't appreciate having to work on the battery contacts to get this toy running, not to mention that fact that I have to really crank the cap on hard to get it running, but hopefully that won't be the case for everyone. Anyway, being nearly an anal virgin, I had a hard time using this toy. Putting it in wasn't so bad, and the vibrations against my prostrate had me coming in no time, but getting the beads out was another story. It was like my ass clamped down on them and wouldn't let go, and it wasn't a lot of fun for me trying to get them out with that bumping sensation going on. I think I'll stick with smooth toys until I get the hang of things.

Michele says:
We've got a nearly identical toy to this that I tend to use as a clit teaser, but Mega Booty Beads are all about the ass. I'm not saying that they suck as a clit or vaginal toy, but you're missing out if you don't use them anally. The beads aren't big enough to give you much of a "full" feeling, but the alternate sizes definitely let you know something's there.

The vibrations even on medium speed are strong enough that I can feel them through the vaginal wall, so I can just imagine what great things they'd do for a guy's prostrate. The real fun is in taking them out though; pull slowly and you can feel your anus working over every single one of those larger beads along the way. For me it really feels good without being too intense.

On the negative side, the battery cap has to be really super tight to make the toy work, and I can't unscrew it or get it tightened down enough without Alan's help.

I just received mine yesterday. And I gotta say it wasn't the "thrill" I was expecting. The beads are kinda sharp on each end so when removing the toy I can really feel those sharp edges catching on their way out. I had also hoped it would be a little more flexible. Keeping it "straight" doesn't offer enough of a pinch anywhere for the toy to really catch and keep from sliding back if you clench. But I have yet to figure out what shape to bend it into for both easy insertion and keeping a good position without sliding out. I'm not dissatisfied with the toy. And one day when I have nothing else to do with my time (if it's still working by then) I'll file down the sharp edges on the beads.

For now, after only one use, I would put this at a 6/10.
