Mega booty beads - anal vibrator by BMS Enterprises - review by ShadowKitten

This is the larger version of the Booty Beads toy. I know this one is pink, but I own the black version of the same larger toy. I bought it as a first-time vibrating anal toy, and I was most pleased with my investment.

It's designed for use in . . . well, your booty. However, you can use the vibrations to stimulate yourself elsewhere, such as your nipples and, if you're a girl, your clitoris and, I suppose, your vagina (although this is a fairly slender toy, so this is probably not optimal). The vibrations aren't overly powerful as they are when used anally.

I think this toy is perfect for those who want to try a vibrating toy anally for the first time. Both females and males would enjoy this toy, in my opinion. Males may enjoy it a bit more due to the ability to angle this toy to reach the P-spot quite easily. It also is a good way to ease into thrusting a toy in and out anally and/or to experience vibrations while thrusting in and out.

The RubberCote material is smooth and seamless on each bead, and the alternating smaller and slightly larger beads feel excellent when thrusting in and out while the vibrations are going. The bendable wire inside the toy is very flexible, and you can easily manipulate it to make it reach more specific places. This is definitely a good beginner's toy as it's very slim, but it is also very pleasurable to use due to the lovely vibrations it produces. You can smell it -- but really, only if you hold it right up to your nose. It has a very faint plastic smell that fades over time, too.

I really liked the unique design of the Mega Booty Beads; it's a very innovative little toy. The flexible, plastic-coated wire under the beads allows you to flex it and position it just about any way you'd like, which made stimulating my prostate fairly easy with its seven inches of insertable length. The design, however, is not overly discreet, and just about anyone who sees it will know what it's for and that it's a toy. As I said previously, this is indeed a beginner's toy. Almost anyone can use it with little issue as long as they lubricate it first (the beads/vibrating tip portions). The vibe is very easy to clean with soap and water or a wet cloth (in my experience at least). Don't submerge it though -- just run the used part under the tap. The RubberCote exterior is somewhat waterproof as long as you have the lid on tight.

The Mega Booty Beads come with three speeds: a dull vibration for the first, a steady but not overly powerful vibration for the second, and a powerful buzzing for the third--and final--speed.

The vibrations are located both in the tip of the toy and in the base where the battery is housed. However, due to the design of the toy, the vibrations course all the way through the area in between (though not as powerfully, yet it is plenty enough to provide stimulation throughout). After several months of use (about eight), the vibrations now cause the toy to produce a soft buzzing sound when on the second (rarely) and third (frequently) speeds, but it is no more than a cellphone's vibrational noise level.

The controls are easy to use and consist of a simple button at the base of the battery housing compartment, which you screw off to access the battery. The button moves through the three speeds with each press, and a fourth press results in the toy turning off.

The toy functions fine as a probe without the vibrations on, but it is much more fun when they are buzzing away inside your 'booty.' As previously mentioned, it works great for thrusting to feel the toy's alternating sizes of beads pop as they vigorously go in and out. The battery tends to last a fairly long time even with frequent use, and it is just a single AA battery.

The care and maintenance of this toy is fairly straightforward, albeit a bit tricky if you didn't look at the back of the packaging it comes in first. You grasp the base of the toy (the battery housing) and the tip with the vibrating bullet and then gently pull the bullet away, twisting one way at the same time while allowing the toy to stay in a stationary position and giving enough spacing to move the individual beads down the wire underneath them.

I rarely find that anything gets between the beads, but I'm not too vigorous with it. There won't be anything in between the beads if you use a condom each time on the toy. If you wish, you can use a scrubbing brush or old toothbrush to gently clean anything that does find its way between the beads, along with a bit of water. I don't suggest storing this anywhere that's overly warm as it seems to deteriorate the RubberCote material a bit over time. Just keep it somewhere cool and dry. A drawer should be fine as long as it's not next to a heater or something similar.

The Mega Booty Beads comes with limited instructions, but it doesn't really need them; the toy is fairly straightforward. Some cleaning instructions are provided on the back of the toy's cardboard insert, but it is hardly needed. It's not really reusable, though I suppose you could reuse it since, if I remember correctly, it is a clamshell, pull-apart design (sorry, it has been a while since I bought it, and I tossed the packaging).

This was an excellent toy for me, but I quickly have moved on to larger and slightly more girthy devices (and am continuing to expand on that as time goes on, from a 2 1/2" circumference to 4 1/2 and 5" circumferences). So, it doesn't get too much use anymore, but if I just want a quick probing and the vibrations to go with it without having to 'loosen up' at all, I still do come back to this toy. It has served me well, and in my opinion, the price is fair for such a neat little toy -- although I paid much more locally for it, sadly enough. Never again will I pay the overcharged prices of sex shops though.
