Sasha Grey Billy glass wand - probe discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Entropy

The Sasha Grey Billy is an anal probe that is best suited for experienced anal enthusiasts, and not for the faint of heart or ass. This toy could be used vaginally as well. It would not make a good plug due to its length and texture. In my experience, the best way to use the billy is either targeting P or G spots, or as a SLOW thrusting tool. Note the emphasis on slow.

With a toy of this diameter, I generally don't require much warm up, but this is not your average wand or probe. I would strongly recommend some prep time before insertion.

The billy will retain temperature well. Letting it soak in warm water will make initial insertion more comfortable, while chilling the billy will make for a tighter experience.

The ring at the base of the club provides an excellent grasping and manipulation point. I can hook a finger through the ring and feel confident that I won't drop it even with the slickest lubricant. It is wide enough to ensure that you don't take the whole thing into your body.

The Sasha Billy is compatible with water, oil, and silicone based lubricants. Being glass, though, I would suggest using silicone, as you will require less of it and it lasts a long time on glass surfaces.

The Sasha Billy is a glass toy, so it has no odor or taste. The wand is solid black, and visually striking as it is glossy and looks intimidating. Holding the wand up to a bright light will display some beautiful grey and dark purple hues.

As I run my fingers down the smooth portion of the wand in between the ridges, I can feel many imperfections in the glass, which adds even more texture and sensation to the anal experience.

The wand gradually tapers from large to small, which is the opposite of how many anal toys are designed, and is one of many reasons one should warm up before insertion. There are two swellings that are located below the last ridge, but above the ring, which makes for another nice grasping point.

There are two rows of ridges running down either side of the wand, with five ridges per row. The rows are staggered so that the toy is not quite symmetrical. The ridges are about 1/4" high, and in my sample they are rife with imperfections, making each bump feel unique as it is slid in and out.

The overall design of the probe makes it a very unique experience. The bumps are breath-taking as they inch in and out. If I'm taking the whole wand, I find myself counting how many bumps are left before I get it all the way in or out in a combination of panic and ecstasy.

The reverse taper and numerous ridges gives it the look of an actual club, and I submit to you fellow followers of Eden, it could be used as such if needed.

Another great thing about the design is the ability to have an intimidating visual effect during a BDSM scene. One look at my girlfriend walking towards me with this thing in her hands and a wicked grin on her face makes my heart race and my sphincter quiver.

Even though the wand has many textural imperfections, they only add to the sensation, and don't detract from its elegance. For those perverse enough to do so (guilty!), the Sasha Grey Billy is attractive enough to be displayed as a curio of art.

The bumps and unyielding nature of glass make the billy feel much larger than it is. I've included a couple of photos for size comparison, to show texture, and to show the distance in between the ridges. There's a reason why I chose Ringo and Severin Large for size comparison, which I'll explain below.

This toy isn't for everyone. It should with great care and a at a slow pace. What it does, though, it does very well.

Looking at the ridges and feeling their smooth tips gives one the impression that they would feel smooth, but they actually feel kind of sharp in the rectum.

Aside from the slow screwing I've already mentioned, the billy performs very well in another aspect of ass play. It is possible, and not too difficult, for me to actually "trap" my prostate in between two ridges. After I've got the bumps right where I want them, I angle the probe toward my feet a little and use very small firm strokes to massage my prostate. This rapidly produces an intense climax for me.

Being made of glass, the billy cleans up pretty easily with antibacterial hand soap and warm water. It can also be boiled, or cleaned with a 1:10 solution of bleach and water for sterilization. I just stick with soap and water, since my girlfriend states there's "not a snowball's chance" of it getting anywhere near any of her bodily orifices. One thing that makes cleaning a little bit of a hassle is all of the texture. Be sure to thoroughly clean between the ridges and near the handle.

I store this toy in a padded cloth toy bag. The packaging is beautiful and protects the probe very well, but it's kind of a pain to fumble with the box when I'm horned up. For this reason I usually reserve the box for long term storage.

The probe comes in a very attractive and sturdy cardboard box, which has an image of the Billy on the front, and Sasha on the sides. On the back of the box is a description of the toy, but no instructions for use or cleaning were included. Inside the box is a foam insert which fits the club very well, keeping it tight and secure inside.

The packaging is not discreet by any stretch, but would be excellent for display, as a gift box, or for long term storage.

I'm giving this toy such high marks because I enjoy rough anal play. So consider the source as you consider this club. The Sasha Grey billy is definitely not for everyone!

My first experience with the billy:

When I first saw the Sasha Grey Billy, I knew that I needed to feel it in my butt. Every day that I didn't have it felt like I was dying a little inside. I knew I wanted to be stretched out prior to playing with it, though. The day before the expected delivery date, I had a vigorous anal workout culminating in the insertion and retention of both Tantus Ringo and Severin Large. These are stout butt plugs with diameter of around 2.5".

Opening the package, I was confident that a toy that was merely 1.5" in diameter would be a breeze to take after my previous day's stretch. No. Not even close. I got the business end of the billy inserted pretty easily, but as the first ridge slipped inside of me I had that "uh-oh" feeling, along with a pretty intense burning sensation.

Undaunted, I removed the billy very slowly, and took a break. I was about the business of stretching later that night, and started out with some smaller toys, then worked my way up to Ringo. Ringo treated me well, and I felt stretched, but I wanted to be sure. I popped in the flagship of my anal fleet, Severin Large, and worked my sphincter to a delicious looseness with the largest bulb.

I looked at the billy as I prepared for round two. Now it was on. Silicone lube, easy initial insertion, then damn that first ridge still stung. I wasn't giving up this time though, and managed to get three ridges in before the sweat began beading on my forehead. I left the billy in place, forced some relaxation of my sphincter, and pressed on. I eventually loosened up and managed to creep the entire length in and out a few times. Exhausted and feeling like I just jogged a mile, I began feeling too raw and had to stop for the night.
