Love Beads? Not so much

Definitely worth the $3.99 but don't expect luxury for dirt cheap. These anal beads are best for the novice who doesn't want to spend a lot on an experiment or someone who wants to be able to toss them out after a few uses without having wasted a lot of money. They work just fine but there are better options out there if you really like anal beads.

I'm kind of on the fence over these onyx beads.

On the one hand, they're cheap. So you can use them a time or two and toss them out and you're out less than the price of a Venti Frappuccino. And they do the job. They go in your butt and feel nifty when you tug them out.

Because they're on a string it's super easy to insert them. They don't feel like you're full to the brim with a foreign object. They have a fairly safe plastic O-ring at the end to prevent them from disappearing into the abyss and to make pulling them out a breeze.

They're also a nice, small size which is great for the beginner or someone just a little curious about anal sex but not wanting major penetration or girth. They also come in various sizes (I used the smallest ones, the 1/2 inch) so you have choices.

On the other hand, they're cheap. The string is one of the most unsanitary thing I've ever seen and, because this one is black, it's pretty hard to tell if it's actually clean or not. Soaking in bleach is the only way I feel it gets clean. The plastic beads clean easily. Plastic is great for cleaning. And it's terrific that you can use any kind of lube with these. But I just can't get past the sanitary issues and the scratching.

Yes, the scratching.

The plastic string is knotted around each bead and those little knots can feel downright unpleasant! Scratching inside the anus is bad. Bad, bad. All I can think of is the infection risk.

I'd say get these if you're an anal novice so you don't waste money on an expensive toy that you may not like or if you want something mostly disposable.
Follow-up commentary
So we tried the using a condom with these thing - even though the fear of the condom staying behind was great and has made me nervous for years - and it worked okay. I could still feel the scratchiness of the knots, though and was as worried about the condom shredding as I was about it staying behind when we pulled the beads out so the session didn't last very long.

Once again these are an incredibly inexpensive way to try anal beads but there are so many more products out there that are far, far superior.

You could always try using a condom over the beads to ensure cleanliness, but it may also help to cut down on the "scratching" as well. Thanks!

Eh. You'd have to tie it in a knot at the end or risk it sliding right off and staying behind when you pulled them out.

Ah the scratching is scary! I would be concerned about infections as well. Thank you for the review!
