Arrow slapper by Leatherbeaten - review by removedacnt

The Arrow Slapper is another wonderful BDSM product by Leatherbeaten. It is simplistic in it's design but extremely well made. It is considered an entry level piece but will work just as well for the advanced user.

The Slapper is made of 24 inches of a very strong sturdy leather, thicker than any other leather items I own. It is then folded over a 1 inch, nickel-plated, steel-welded O-ring and riveted together just below, making the slapper 12 inches long. One end of it comes to a point and the other end has a cut out designed to leave little red marks in the shape of an arrow. I really couldn't say for sure if it will make an arrow shape because my husband and I don't hit hard enough to leave very distinct marks.

I sat here hitting my own leg to test it out, which really is a good idea to do before you use any thing like this on another person. With this toy you can hit fairly softly and it really doesn't hurt much at all. But you can also hit a person pretty hard with it and it will hurt. It will also leave a mark. When I tried it on my husband I really didn't leave any marks because I wasn't really hitting that hard. I felt after trying it on myself and the fact that I don't always have the best aim, I needed to be a bit careful with this. Though not as careful as I usually have to be when using something like a flogger or whip. Due to the simplicity of the design and the firmness of the leather, I was able to hit exactly where I intended almost all of the time.

One of the really neat features of this is that the when you hit someone or something with this it makes a very nice slapping sound from the two pieces of leather smacking together. Which is probably what it's intended to do. But I wanted to mention it because I really liked that sound.

I would imagine, should you need to clean this, that a leather cleaner would be best. I never use water on any of my leather items because I'm always a bit worried that it will leave watermarks.

Overall this is a nice little addition to any BDSM collection. It is sturdy, extremely well made and should last forever.

I just want to add that I emailed Billy at Leatherbeaten because this is a new product of theirs and initially I wasn't able to find any information about it. He was extremely helpful, which I find Leatherbeaten to always be, and was able to give me much of the non-experiential information I wrote in this review.

I'm actually starting to like this even more. Even though it doesn't really look like much, the smaller size and simplistic design makes it very easy to use and control. I can hit exactly where I'm aiming for every time. This makes for a great little spanker. It is also showing no signs of wear whatsoever.
