Blindfold by Spartacus - review by Hazel

Blindfolds are fabulous for heightening non-visual sensations. Since sight dominates our senses, removing vision from the equation sharpens other senses, which is great for just about any sex play - especially those focusing on taste, texture, sound, and the element of surprise. Beginners and advanced users alike can access and enjoy a simple blindfold like this one, and the uses in play can be as wide ranging as your imagination & creativity allow.

I've got some definite issues with this particular design, but first, two compliments (with constructive criticism):
1. The double straps in the back help the blindfold stay in place well, and are a good design choice.
(They are non-adjustable, but slightly stretchy and seemed to fit our average-sized heads well; however if the wearer is lying down and moving their head against a pillow, the straps will slip and the blindfold will move out of place)
2. The blindfold is made of deliciously soft leather (thanks, Spartacus - well done!) that feels good to wear.
Now for the big issue: You can still see out from underneath if you try. Not so great. The indentation for the nose is too shallow; unless you have a remarkably flat bridge, your nose will push the blindfold out from your cheeks and leave a space for light to get in. Not only does it put a somewhat uncomfortable pressure on the bridge of the nose, but it pretty much defeats the purpose of being blindfolded (unless you have excellent self-restraint and keep your eyes closed the whole time anyway).
I will say, though, that if you have a legally blind play partner (as I do) who must remove their glasses before putting on a blindfold, the overall effect is pretty much the same as having a blindfold that fits.
For those of us who aren't blind - I recommend finding a blindfold with a steeper nose indentation.

Despite the big flaw in design, my partner and I had a lot of fun with this blindfold (... partially because she's kind of blind). The mere presence of the blindfold allowed her to give over to the non-visual sensations in a way that closing her eyes simply wouldn't have done. We ended up playing a great game of "What's in my Mouth?" which quickly turned to "What's Touching Me?", and had a really fun and sexy time playing with taste and texture. It stayed in place for the most part; though I had to readjust the blindfold once or twice within an hour, as the straps moved when she moved her head against the pillow. We did have fun with it, but at one point she turned to me and said, "So you're going to give this a big fat thumbs down, right?" There are enough flaws to it that I wouldn't highly recommend it, though for our purposes it performed fairly well.
