This is a flogger. Now, what does a flogger do, you might ask? Well, it has a handle, a few leather or other material tails, and you use it to make nice hits on a person's body. This particular flogger is heavy, thick, and definitely not for beginners. It's not the easiest to use, and it's not the sort of thing that you would want to start out with when you're just getting into flogger use.

Since it's so well-made and weighty, I highly recommend it to people who have either been in the lifestyle for a long time, are experienced with floggers, and who enjoy using them. If you don't enjoy using floggers, or prefer to buy floggers that give gentle caresses, this is not the one for you. If you enjoy giving extremely hard thuddy or stinging pain, this flogger will do the job for you.

The Sparticus Loves Theo flogger (I am still wondering where the hell they got that name from) is made of high quality, thick leather, and the attention to detail on this piece is just exquisite. Odd name, but a beautiful flogger. The handle has this crossover design of a light pinkish red hue and black leather, and the wrist/hanging strap is braided and made from the same leather as the tails. With a length of about 6 1/2", the handle should be a good size for most individuals to hold.

The tails. God, the tails. Taking this thing out of its little box, I could feel their heft and thickness. It really is to die for. I have never felt a flogger with suck thick tails, as most of mine have fairly thinner tails that rely on the ends for the pain. But this thing can give pain simply from the weight of its tails. They are the same color as the wrist/hanging strap, which is a light pink/red color. It's almost like a muted, or greyish pink. Thankfully, the color does not make the flogger seem feminine whatsoever.

All of the tails have scallop cut ends; yes, they are rounded. This is another thing that I have never seen in a flogger, and was absolutely stunned by. The roundness gives the flogger a sort of tricky sweetness, so that you think "hey, this won't hurt one bit." But it does. Each of the tails have a length of 21", a largest width of 1", and there are a total of sixteen tails.

It's hard to describe whether the sensation is more thuddy or stingy, but I'd have to go with thuddy. Since the flogger gives so much force, it gives an extremely hard thud, not a weak one that might only feel like a light pat; it's more of a toppling over effect, to be fully honest. This is not a flogger for beginners, whatsoever. In an experienced hand, it will give a much more desirable effect, and not yield any really bad mishaps. It will leave red marks and bruises that will quite possibly stay for about a day, sometimes more, depending on how hard and how many times you hit with it.

Now, do I like it? Yes. I do. I love this flogger. It's extremely good and well-made; I can tell that it will last a lifetime. It's also very lovely in appearance too, so that makes it something that I'm happy to own, something that I can look at every day and still sigh over.

Since this is made of leather and suede, make sure to not expose this to direct sunlight, get anything like lubricant on it, or keep it in damp areas for long amounts of time. These things will mar and deteriorate the material and make it unusable. If the suede tails must be cleaned, you can clean them using a leather cleaner.

For storage, I suggest hanging the flogger up either in a closet or on a wall so that the tails can hang freely. Storing it flat in a drawer would be sufficient too. I personally hang mine up behind my door with my other implements.

The flogger simply came folded in the box that it was in, with a little tag attached to its strap. It was also in a plastic bag, not resealable. Sadly, the tails did get a little "frumpy," as my sister would call it, and they were slightly marred from being folded. It was not too bad, and with use, this goes away.

I love this flogger. Does that say enough? Let me also note here how absolutely delicious this flogger smells. Mm, the leather is just so divine. Quite the lovely scent if you are a leather fetishist like me.

If this was a vibrator, I'd give it an intensity rating of 10 out of 5, and a noise level of 3 out of 5. See, its might is good for its noise level! (And yes, this is a joke. It's not that intense...but it is very intense.)
