Sparticus loves Cleo flogger - whip discontinued by Ruff doggie styles - review by ShadowKitten

The Sparitcus Loves Cleo Flogger is a very unique flogger with falls that remind me (don't laugh) of a cartoon cat's tongue with their rounded ends and the fact each of the falls are quite wide (an inch each!).

I ordered the Sparticus Loves Cleo flogger as the last flogger I had found on EF that I wanted and because it was one of the higher priced purchases on my wish list and I am glad I did, Ruff Doggie Styles impressed me twice in this order, once with their Distressed Heart Spank-her paddle and now with the Sparticus Loves Cleo flogger.

Let me tell you, using this flogger on myself alone was a bit tricky due to its size (31 inches is a long flogger just so you know!) and its heft but I managed to swing it against my back; much to my surprise it felt quite good for only being able to reach that area of my body with it.

This flogger, I don't know how it does it, but it manages to pull off both thud and sting at the same time. The weight and size of each fall makes it thuddy but the rounded edges make it sting!

It certainly is a delightful sensation and as I said earlier quite unique, that being said however even after my few uses of it on myself I can tell that the size of this flogger likely comes with a bit of a learning curve to anyone that wields it.

Because of its force I would suggest caution when using this flogger, carefully avoiding the 'no-go' regions for impact toys due to how the falls 'dance' when swung; which include but are not limited to the stomach, kidney region, feet, neck/spine area, tailbone are and hips (hips, not thighs which are fine).

Taking care of floggers is important, conditioning the flogger with leather conditioner is wise if it's showing any signs of weakness or cracking, there are many brands out there which you can find in handy 'wipe' versions which make your job quite easy; there are often cleaning wipes available as well which makes cleaning a breeze (although most of the times there isn't a need to). Leather care products are often found at stores that carry leather clothing especially, as well as tack shops which often carry several lines of care products. Conditioning your leather items once every couple of months is wise to keep things in pristine condition.

In terms of intensity I'd rate this flogger a 7/10 when in the more sadistic of hands though remember its the person swinging the impact toy that matters as everyone is different in terms of force and skill; always be careful when 'breaking in' new implements!

The quality of this toy is amazing, the exterior of the falls are smooth as smooth can be while the undersides are slightly fuzzy to the touch but still high quality leather through and through. The handle is sturdy and even though this product is pink I adore every single inch of it; to me its the effect a toy creates that matters, not the looks.

I cannot recommend this flogger enough as a flogger to be in any pain lover's toy chest as I've never experienced anything quite like the Sparticus Loves Cleo flogger from Ruff Doggie Styles.

The thick and clustered tails of this flogger are ultimately its downfall for me, they make it very hard to control as the tails get caught up with each other which is NOT good when you need to aim for certain parts on someone's body. The only real way I found I could use it was in a downward stroke, though I admit I'm pretty green at topping others so that may still get better in time and let me use more skills with this flogger. Basically, unless you're superb at rather hefty impact floggers that lack control, look elsewhere.
