overall this is a pretty good product. It is cute, and made from high quality leather. The price is not over the top. If you are just looking at getting into some light BDSM play, this might be a good starting point. I am going to start off by saying, my wife does not use this. She just likes the way it looks. She thinks it is cute, and it is. If you are looking for a cute crop, this one might fit the bill.
Most people buy this for BDSM play. You can use it for taking charge in the bedroom, or torture room; where ever you like to play. It will work well for a light slapping on your slaves ass. Not so much for heavy play though, but I dont believe it is built for heavy BDSM play.
The crop head is made of leather. It is dyed pink, well the majority of it is dyed pink. The eyes are dyed white, along with a few spots that are black. The quality of the leather is pretty high. It is soft and pliable, like you expect from higher quality leather. The handle is made from some type of light weight metal or composite, I cant tell because it is wrapped in a weaved poly type material. (I can not find any info on the material) There is no texture to the head of the crop, besides from the layers of leather used to make the face. Also the only smell you get is one of leather.
The crop handle has some bend to it when pressing on the head while holding the handle, or in mid swing. It is not a lot, like swinging a limp noodle. But it is a lot more forgiving then a baseball bat. I do not know how this would rate with other crops, seeing how this is our first one and we don't use it for BDSM type play. I would assume they should all be about the same.
This came with only a small bag wrapped around the head of the crop. Nothing on the handle. No info on the crop or the company that manufactures it. I was a little disappointed in the lack of cleaning and care instructions included with our crop. We haven't gotten our dirty, but I would not think it would be a problem to wipe it down with a toy cleaning wipe. I just think you would not want to get it soaking wet and leave it damp for a long period of time. As far as storage goes, we just leave it standing up on end on our dresser, or in the closet. But you could also leave it laying down flat without any problems.

Now remember that we don't use this for BDSM play, so I tested this myself on my leg. Your results might vary some from mine.
This crop has some pain behind it. Assuming you are trying to dish out some pain. Half of the pain comes from the slapper/head being pretty small in size, and you getting some of the rod with each slap. The other half is from the actual slap. You can always swing with a little more beans behind it, more of a play slap; then it only hurts as much as you or your partner are comfortable with.
As far as us using it, I don't think she ever will. Like I stated above, she just likes the looks of it. I even purchased some matching pink gear to go along with it, in case she was serious about wanting to use it. But for now, and as long as I can see down the road; I believe it will just sit there and be admired for how cute it is.

We still like this, though it has broken. And not from use. She was just playing with it and the rod snapped just above the handle. I may have to send this one back and get it replaced. I wonder how it would hold up if you where using it for BDSM play? I would guess not very well. But it is still cute, and that is the reason we purchased it.
