Leather Thong Whip by Spartacus - review by Sam (aka Jul!a)

What you're getting here is a high quality leather/suede whip in miniature. It has the power to deliver some really stinging and painful blows, all while coming off as nothing to be scared of because of its small stature.

It's best off in the hands of beginners, although more advanced users could definitely find a way to make it work well for them too. In addition to being an adorable little whip, you can also use it as an adorable little tickler.

What you're getting here is 10" of pure leathery goodness, in a lovely darker purple color. It doesn't smell heavily, but if you get real close to it, it has that good ol' leather scent, like that of an old, worn in, leather jacket.

Of the 10", it's about half handle and half tails. The constriction is incredibly simple, and incredibly sturdy. There are a grand total of 12 tails, made up of 6 1/8" strips of leather wrapped around a solid 1/2" diameter D-ring. From right under where the straps hook around the D-ring to about 4 1/4" down, you have the handle, which is made from the same leather straps as the tails, just wrapped very tightly around the tails. Each end tucks up underneath itself, and looks glued in. Either way you're gonna have to work really hard to get either end to come out.

This little whip is very well made. I think that unless you're purposefully trying to do it in, it's going to last you a really really long time.

This is another product that wowed me. Being so small, I wasn't expecting any serious hits from this. I was a little surprised. With enough force behind a swing, you can cause some serious hurt. But you're going to have to try. As hard as I swung it, I couldn't get it to be much more than a serious sting on my husband. However I fully admit to not having the best arm strength out there.

When he swung it at me, as hard as he could, I only let him do once. It hurt, a lot. But I'm also a bit of a wimp. Getting a nice, resonating sting is I think what this little whip is suited best for, and it delivers time after time without much effort.

It can also work very well as a tickler of sorts, so long as you're mindful of fluids and all that. The tickles have a slight scratchy undertone to them, but are indeed pretty tickly.

Should you manage to get your tiny whip dirty, you can wipe it down very gently with a damp cloth, and a damp cloth and a mild soap if absolutely necessary. It didn't come with any kind of storage, but it is small enough that you could store it in a toy pouch if you didn't want anybody to see it. You could also store it in a drawer, or attach a strap or chain to it and hang it from that.

Packaging was very minimal, a plastic bag, just barely big enough to hold the whip itself. There was a little piece of paper in there, as well as one of those little preservative packets you find in everything else. Nothing special.

For our first whip, we were really impressed. My husband and I are just starting to explore the world of kink, and wanted something that wasn't intimidating, and wouldn't cause a lot of pain if we goofed up during use. This produced a nice stinging sensation and wasn't overwhelming in the least bit.

The price may seem a bit off-putting at first, but after just holding this little whip in my hands, I'm convinced it's well worth the money. It's certainly not the biggest, baddest thing out there. But if you're not trying to break it on purpose, it's going to last you a very very long time.
