Mini crop medium tip by Spartacus

The Mini Crop (medium tip) by Spartacus was my first purchase of any sort of percussions device, and therefore held somewhat more significance for me than an average toy. The toy is made of rubber, has a nice firm handle and a soft tip that could fit in the your palm nicely. It is a small crop, roughly the length of my forearm, which has its advantages and disadvantages.

The size of the crop makes it highly portable and it also does not become the focus of the play sessions. In addition, the size makes it much better to use on smaller areas (nipples, genitals) because it is easier to control the range of motion and intensity of contact. The size of the crop meant it was not totally ideal for ass and thighs, which are classic areas of abuse and in my opinion, were undeserved by the crop. I actually felt the smaller area of the crop tip to be a little annoying, but I may just prefer broad-based sensation vs. more focused. Spartacus did a good job with the structure of the crop, which is quite stable and did not seem like it would break easily.

My play partner was very eager to try this toy out on me, and he had me bent over the bent so he could discipline me from behind. As a top-leaning switch, with some masochistic tendencies, I found that the size of the crop somewhat took away from the experience. In retrospect, with other accessories around (rope, cuffs, clips, clamps), the crop would have fit in perfectly, especially for someone who does not have room for large toys, especially of the BDSM nature. The experience of the crop against my skin was somewhat flat at first, however once the area warms up, the nice sting appears and was very yummy indeed. I didn’t get a chance to try it on him, but I smacked myself with it and the weight of the crop was very pleasant. The handle was just the right circumference. All in all, I believe that this is a quality toy, particularly for novice BDSM players, people without a lot of room for toy storage or generally anyone with a little creativity in the bedroom. Don’t let the size of this crop fool you- it can do some definite damage, but you will have to use it in different ways.
