Blindfolds and gags are a regular part of my play time, but tend to be difficult to clean and problematic to share. Fetish Fantasy has solved these challenges by creating both a blindfold and gag out of high-quality silicone that is easy to disinfect by boiling or running it through the dishwasher. This feature alone assures these toys a permenant place in my traveling toy bag! The blindfold and gag come in black or red, and we enjoyed playing with the red set. This is also a great option for the novice kinkster starting out in BDSM play. Just remember to use only water-based lubricants; silicone lubricants will damage these toys!

The blindfold is very effective and comfortable. When applied snuggly, it warms and molds to the face, applying light pressure on the eyes and letting in minimal light. The mask adjusts to fit people from petite women to husky men. The straps are secure and comfortable without irritation to the wearer's temples and ears. While the mask is comfortable for an extended period of several hours, it can collect sweat against the eyebrows and eyelids. This blindfold is a single piece of smooth silicone that binds behind the wearer's head with a plastic clasp. The clasp feels a bit fragile, but held the silicone straps securely. It is easily adjustable (slide part of the band out of the clasp, adjust, then replace the band into the clasp) but can be difficult to secure, particularly by touch, and problematic to unfasten. A firm 'click' can be felt when the clasp is properly lined up and fastened. When cleaning the mask in the dishwasher, I did remove the clasps, as I wasn't sure they could hold up to the heat.

Ball gags are lovely to behold in the mouth of a lover. Of course, they will also make your lover drool, making clean up important! The ball itself if very comfortable; my partners all felt the ball fit well without causing aching jaws or rubbing the insides. However, a person whose jaws open wide can force the ball out of their mouth with the flex in the silicone bands. Like most ball gags, this gag's straps mount in center of the ball, which puts a lot of pressure on the corners of the mouth. This limited the amount of time any of us could wear the gag due to chafing and irritation. I wish the strap was mounted off center so that it was held farther out of the mouth. Although the gag is fun, it is not very effective in actually muffling noises, but it will prevent speech effectively. The ball did not have an unpleasant taste and was smooth; the manufacturing seam was not noticable. The clasp is the same as the blindfold's clasp with similar problems.

Start both the gag and the blindfold straps on the widest setting, and adjust for the wearer. It takes a bit of work to tighten them up, but it helps a lot with comfort. Be careful with the blindfold on sensitive eyes, fake eyelashes, and contacts; it does apply pressure to your eye and can create some discomfort with those extras in place. To eliminate some of the gag rubbing issues, wrap the problem spots tightly with vet wrap followed by duct tape (this narrows the straps, helps with chaffing, and is disposable) just remember to remove it after play for clean up! I have also removed the plastic clasps when disinfecting these toys.

I use this gag and blindfold on a regular basis, particularly with casual play partners or in scenes that will be very messy. The clips have held up, although I still find fastening and unfastening them challenging.
